More About My Book

The 30-Day Journey From Prison to Spiritual Peace

JP My life was filled with turmoil, misguidance, and poor choices which put me behind bars for first-degree burglary. Life taught me to take, because that is all anyone did to me. The pains of my childhood, and an inability to properly express emotions, led me to serve twelve years in prison. Although my physical freedom was temporarily taken, my incarceration ultimately allowed me to find freedom within. Each chapter in this book gives understanding, and serves as a hammer to break down the internal prisons that many of us unconsciously tend to build.

Topics Covered

These Beautiful chapters are full of inspiration, designed to give hope to those who have found themselves trapped within there own pain. These vignettes will serve as building blocks, that allows many to see themselves in the light of greatness. Not in the unfortunate things that life seems to throw our way.

Chapter One "Day 1"

Many of us do a lot of talking, whether in person or on social media, but how often do we use our voices to testify about the goodness of the Lord?

Chapter Two "Day 2"

"If You Don’t Release Burdens You Will Become One" The Bible speaks of two types of burdens: the Greek “baros,” defined simply as ‘a weight’ or anything pressing on one physically, and the second, “phortion” which is defined as something carried.

Chapter Three "Day 3"

Certain things in life bring out the best in us...or the worst in us. To maintain balance, we turn to so many earthly things but these things don’t establish true balance, they only numb the pain. Power. Money. Material bliss. Sex.

Chapter Four "Day 4"

When people look at you, do they see religion, or do they see Christ in you? There are many religions in the world, each with a unique set of rules to follow. Many of them believe in God, and His good plan for all of His children.

Chapter Five "Day 5"

"Having a Committed Spirit" Many of us struggle with the concept of commitment. Having a spirit that is committed serves as an even higher challenge, seeing that a physical commitment to anything is already a struggle.

Chapter Two "Day 6"

I can’t stand my mother.” “I can’t stand my father.” “I really don’t like my sister because she always gets on my nerves.” “My brother, he thinks he’s better than me!” Sometimes, in a moment of frustration, we say things like this without realizing the powerful effect of our words.
